On-Line Master of Science Degree in the Administration of Justice
The Department of Justice Administration at University of Louisville offers an internet-based Master of Science Degree in the Administration of Justice. The entire degree program is designed to be completed on-line; however, students in the Louisville area are also free to take courses on-campus. The program focuses on the administration of justice through various social processes and specifically, the components, processes and procedures that constitute the criminal justice system. This program is being developed with assistance of a grant from the United States Army.
On-Line Master of Public Administration for Military Personnel
The Department of Urban and Public Affairs at Louisville offers an internet-based Master of Public Administration(MPA) degree in cooperation with the Department of Political Science. This pilot program is open only to members of the military in active or reserve status. The entire degree program is designed to be completed on-line; however, students located in the Louisville area are also free to take on-campus courses. The Program focuses on general administration, public management, policy analysis, applied research, government, and organizational theory. This pilot program has been developed with a grant from the United States Army.
Advanced Certificate in Sociology
The Online Certificate in Sociology is a collaborative program bringing together the expertise of distinguished sociology departments at Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Manchester and University of Salford. This Postgraduate Certificate is comprised of three modules:
- Visual Culture and the Contemporary City
- Survey Methodology Online
- Classical Sociological Theory
This program begins September 2001. Student support will be provided by course tutors from all three universities through email discussion lists, web boards and regular email contact. The certificate will be awarded jointly by all three universities.

Brenau University now offers an online MBA in Accounting. Students will be able to enroll in the new business program fall semester 2001. The 10-course, 36 semester-hour MBA can be completed totally online in four semesters. The program is designed so that students can obtain the required knowledge and skills needed to be successful CPAs, and it allows them to complete the 150 hours of education now required by many states and jurisdictions to sit for the CPA exam.
