What's New at World Wide Learn

World Wide Learn Sponsors First American's Solo, Unsupported Trek To Geographic North Pole
World Wide Learn, The World's Largest Directory of Online Education, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the WorldWideLearn.com North Pole Solo 2004 Expedition.

In February 2004, explorer Wave Vidmar will fly across the earth to begin his solo journey to the geographic north pole. Leaving from upper Russia, the Artichevsky peninsula, Wave will walk, ski, and swim nearly 600 miles to the north pole.

Dragging a sledge (pulk) weighing more than 275+ lbs Wave will take with him everything he needs to accomplish his goal through the harshest environment on earth. When asked why he would do such a thing he states "to feed my soul".

Wave will walk into the history books as the first American to accomplish an unsupported solo expedition. The expedition will take approximately 60 days across the frozen arctic sea ice.
