American Military University
The Center for Domestic Preparedness of the U.S. Department of Justice and American Military University have teamed to develop five online academic courses that comprise a new Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Certificate Program:
- Weapons of Mass Destruction Certificate Program
This unique program was created to meet the training and education needs of the more than 11 million emergency personnel across the U.S. who may need to respond to a WMD attack. This five-course certificate program offers the first responder the opportunity to study current information in an online environment minimizing the interruption to important, ongoing duties and responsibilities.
American Military University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
CE Credits Online
CE Credits Online offers web-based courses for teachers to help meet their continuing education requirements. Online courses include:

Esset Australia
Esset Australia offers a Diploma in Business completely online through the use of online materials, email and discussion boards. The Diploma of Business is fully accredited using Australian national business curriculum and receives University articulation at Australian Universities for up to one year of a Bachelor of Business/Commerce program.
From Stargazers to Starships
From Stargazers to Starships is a free web course on the high school/undergrad level covering astronomy, Newtonian mechanics, the Sun and spaceflight. Non-calculus and illustrated, with about 80 main sections, it includes a Spanish translation, math course, lesson plans, timeline, glossary, problems, Q&A collection, guidance for teachers, relevance to national standards and more. The exposition follows historic thread, stresses applications (esp. to space), intuitive understanding, ties to society, culture and technology, stories of discovery and individuals responsible for them, scientific concepts and the way they were established.
Memorial University
Memorial University offers continuing medical education (CME) online accredited courses, tools and resouces for family physicians. The courses are instructor led over a duration of 3-4 weeks and are available to licensed physicians. Each course has a small fee and is offered 6-10 times per year. Tools and resources (e.g., CME calendar, create your own web page, peer reviewed information links) are free of charge. Accrediation for the courses is through the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)and only physicians residing in Canada can get credit for the courses. Physicians outside of Canada, however, are encouraged to take a course for personal professional development.
Minot State University
Minot State University offers the following bachelor's degrees completely online:
- Bachelor of Science in Management
This program gives students a global perspective while preparing them for careers in industry, commerce and government. Throughout the curriculum, emphasis is given to understanding real business conditions through the use of cases, simulations, internships and consulting experiences.
- Bachelor of Applied Science
This program is designed for individuals who have completed a vocational-technical program leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree. Students enrolling in this program will complete their general education coursework and a specialized Area of Study (including Business Information Technology, Management, or General Studies).
- Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems
This program is designed to provide students knowledge and skills to work as systems analysts, application programmers, information managers, information center managers, and trainers in business information systems. The program is available entirely through instructor-led online courses.

Naropa University
Naropa University offers the following online master's degrees in education and psychology:
- Master of Arts in Contemplative Education
This is a low-residency professional development degree for practicing teachers and others interested in a non-sectarian contemplative approach to teaching and learning. Practicing teachers from all levels of instruction: pre-k through higher education, are welcome in this two-year, 36-credit degree program. The program schedule consists of three-week summer retreats, online course work and Spirituality in Education conferences.
- Master of Arts Degree in Transpersonal Psychology
This degree is offered primarily online with a one-week residency component each summer. This program emphasizes the theoretical and experiential aspects of transpersonal psychology and its application in a variety of areas.

Professional Focus in cooperation with Fort Hays State University offers over 135 online graduate-level, 3 credit hour courses for recertification and salary advancement. Learn how to use the internet to develop your curriculum. Topics cover all the major curriculum areas for k-14 teachers, counselors, administrators, and coaches/PE staff. Fort Hays State University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools.
School of Teaching English as a Second Language
The School of Teaching English as a Second Language offers online certification courses in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language. All courses are accredited through Seattle University School of Education. Courses are offered quarterly for 9-week sessions. Seattle University is accredited by the Northwest Association for Colleges and Universities. The School of Education is additionally accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
Texas A & M University
The George Bush School at the Texas A & M University offers the following graduate certificate in international relations:
- Certificate in Advanced International Affairs
This program is designed to provide individuals with not only meaningful frameworks with which to interpret global interactions, but also practical and useable knowledge on such matters as cross-cultural communications and negotiations.

University of Illinois at Chicago
The University of Illinois offers an online professional education non-credit program designed for nonprofit practitioners:
- Certificate in Nonprofit Management (CNM)
Participants learn management principles across disciplines through dialogue with other nonprofit practitioners and CNM faculty. The program is entirely online, which allows participants from across the country, and around the world, to work together and learn from each other in a stimulating e-classroom. CNM is comprised of six noncredit, intensive five-week courses delivered over the world wide web. Each class can be taken on a stand-alone basis but to earn the Certificate, participants must successfully complete all six courses.
Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The University of Illinois offers the following online engineering graduate degrees with specialization in the following areas:
- Master of Computer Science
The program can be completed in as few as 12 months as a full-time student or longer as a part-time student. Note that there is a non-degree option to take courses for credit. Certificate programs are also available in many specialized areas.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department requires eight units of credit for the Master of Science (MSEE) degree. The Department offers a thesis option and a no-thesis option. There is no residency requirement.
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
The Department offers a thesis option and a no-thesis option. There is no residency requirement.

The UN Atlas of the Oceans is an Internet portal providing information relevant to the sustainable development of the oceans.
University of New Brunswick
The University of New Brunswick (Canada) offers the following online certificate in occupational safety and health:
- Certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Processes
The program will be of interest to a wide range of learners, from frontline workers to middle managers. Those who will benefit from the program include labour reps, joint safety and health committee members, practicing safety coordinators, occupational health nurses, ergonomic specialists, government inspectors, actuarial professionals, worker's compensation strategists, and industrial leaders interested in human capital development.
The Program has been approved as a non-credit Certificate by the University of New Brunswick, the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), and Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP).
University of Southern Mississippi
The University of Southern Mississippi offers an online doctoral degree in International Development. The Ph.D. program reflects the reality that virtually all economic development, business, and trade today has a global dimension. This online doctoral program will prepare graduates for new careers in economic development practice, private-sector business and industry, import-export trade, government service, nongovernmental organizations, and higher education. This program is also intended to serve professionals already engaged in such careers, to enhance their credentials, broaden their horizons, and sharpen their perspectives. There is no residency requirement. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
University System of Georgia Institutions
The Georgia WebMBA™ offers qualified and highly motivated students the opportunity to earn a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree online through a consortium of five University System of Georgia Institutions: Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, State University of West Georgia, Valdosta State University. Included is a 1-credit-hour orientation course that is held during a 2-day period at the campus of one of the participating institutions. A second non-credit residential meeting is required during the 5-semester program. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Washington Academy of Languages
The Washington Academy of Languages offers a graduate level TESL Certificate/ESL Endorsement program entirely online (or in combination with onsite/summer Intensive Program). It is a course that allows you to log on at your own convenience and post your assignments/discussion contributions. The discussions are instructor led and available for individual users. Course Credit and Computer Support are provided by Seattle Pacific University. Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) and the program fulfills Washington state ESL Endorsement Requirements.
