Proud sponsor of the 1st American solo unsupported expedition to the North Pole!
Wave is back from his training trip to the Arctic Ocean, specifically Barrow, Alaska. It was chilly, but a great training and testing trip. Now Wave is busy preparing for the actual expedition, and will leave for Russia the middle of next month and start out on the ice on Feb. 25th. Stay tuned for more!!

World Wide Learn is also developing an educational component of the expedition with Global School Net Foundation. Global School Net Foundation will be taking the lead to help organize curriculum and invite students from around the world to participate. All courses are provided by the Diabetes Education Society, which is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education (CNE) by the Colorado Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of CNE by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Continuing professional education (CPE) hours are approved by the American Dietetic Association.
East Carolina University
East Carolina offers the following online degree:
- Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology
The MS Degree in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, delivered via distance learning strategies, is designed for the individual who holds an undergraduate degree in Speech Language Pathology (or has 24 semester hours of undergraduate prerequisite courses).
Course delivery is asynchronous utilizing an electronic learning model which consists of CD-ROMs of actual course lectures. There is a summer residency requirement. The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is Accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

University of Connecticut
The University of Connecticut offers online a Master of Professional Studies,
Humanitarian Services Administration concentration. The program prepares graduates to work in field operative and administrative positions in non-governmental organizations, international non-governmental organizations, and multi-governmental organizations involved in humanitarian response and development initiatives. The MPS requires an issues-based, two week residency on campus. Accredited by the New England Association of Colleges and Schools.
University of Dundee
the University of Dundee and the Royal College of General Practitioners offer a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education for General Practice by distance education. The course has been designed specifically for those involved in primary healthcare teaching or training to help them improve their knowledge and skills as teachers and to have a better understanding of education and curriculum development.
